Isn't it the nicest feeling when everything goes off without a hitch? That is exactly how I would describe Sunday. I'm not going to write much, I'm only going to share a couple pictures. I've only just finished sorting them and still need to get copies out to all the important ladies who have requested them. It was a really wonderful visit home so I tacked on a couple pictures from other parts of the weekend on at the end.
To keep it short and sweet:
- The metro ride from the airport was fast and painless - I was shocked too.
- Dinner with Joe's mom Kristen and their family friend Liz, was wonderful.
- Ed surprised everyone by showing up for the weekend (originally he was going to be out of town).
- Omi visit with coconut bread, quiche, and burgers - so delicious.
- We. ate. crabs.
- Kate came home and seems very happy as well as looks incredible.
- Omi surprised everyone by coming down for the shower - Thanks Uncle John!
- The shower was wonderful. Everyone was happy, it was a great setting and everyone was generous with their good humor and affection.
- Carolyne was beautiful as always. :)
- I went to 3 of Mom's classes and I think I still smell like chlorine. Smells like home to me!
- Quick dinner and drinks with Mac and Joe saved us from the worst of the rain and tornado warnings Monday night.
- Easy flight home and the best super shuttle driver I've ever met.
I wish I knew when I'll be back but the good money says not for awhile at this moment in time. Our last visit and this past weekend were just... perfect. Wouldn't change a thing. Thank you to everyone who made it all so!
